This 100% Whey protein (Isolate) is more effective than regular whey protein (concentrate) because it has a higher protein content and is lower in carbohydrates, lactose and fat………..
1. All whey protein is derived from milk and when the milk is purified it’s referred to as whey so with that said,”regular” whey protein is only purified 1 time and ”isolate” whey is purified twice. This dramatically increases the purity of the protein.
2. With Gold Standard 100% whey isolate you get more actual protein per gram since the fat and lactose are basically eliminated.
3. This whey protein isolate has allowed me to “noticeably” Increase my lean muscle mass and the speed of my muscle recovery better than my old whey protein.
Isn’t Whey Isolate Typically More Expensive than Regular Whey?
YES and that’s probably the biggest reason I like Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate so much,…..
……it’s the Most Affordable Whey Isolate that I’ve came across, making it about the Same Cost as Regular Whey

Here’s What Others are Saying….
“This is the best protein powder in the industry for a good reason! With all the different flavor choices, you will never get tired or your protein shakes. The protein powder mixes very well with no protein STUCK to the side of your cup! Gold Standard Whey Protein is also great for pre-workout, post-workout, or any time of the day that you want to get that (much needed) extra protein in.” Tiffany R.
“Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate is the ideal protein for me. I use it right after my workouts. The whey Isolate helps me to recover and repairs the muscle that I just activated during my workout routine. Gold Standard 100% Whey has 4 Grams of Glutamine & Glutamic Acid in every Serving and 5 Grams of the Naturally Occurring Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine in every Serving. I also love the fact that it’s a low carb protein powder” Tommy D.
Final Verdict: Is Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate Protein Worth It?
Bottom line is: The Proof Was in The Protein.
This whey isolate gives me more pure protein per gram than my old protein did and the price was about the same!! With the results I’ve seen it wouldn’t bother me even if I did have to spend 5 or 10 extra dollars considering the intense effort we put in to build muscle!!!
So after switching to Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate about a month ago I’ve noticed that, (along with my balanced diet and weightlifting regiment) I’ve been able to achieve definition and a little extra mass that I just couldn’t seem to get before!!! How rewarding.
Also the fact that it comes in 28 different flavors is awesome also! LOL.
Final Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
My Protein Resource’s Most F.A.Q’s
Q: What’s the cheapest place to buy Gold Standard 100% Whey Isolate?
A:You can get it directly through the manufacturer Through this Link:
Q: If (standard) whey is only 80% protein, why do some products say 100% whey?
A: If the product is called 100% whey, this generally refers to the protein source that was used, meaning that only whey protein was used, not soy, egg or milk protein. Therefore, when you see a product that is branded 100% whey protein (if it’s from concentrate) it will contain about 80% protein. This is not the case with whey isolate.
Q: Does whey isolate protein taste as good as regular whey protein?
A: Before I switched to whey isolate I would have assumed that since it is basically a FAT FREE and a LACTOSE FREE product (i.e no milk), it would not taste as good as regular whey. However, much to my surprise, (this gluten free protein powder) actually tasted better…..even though whey isolate has a consistency that is a little thinner, without the fat! If you still can’t stomach the taste of your shake try adding skim milk instead of water.
Q: Why is whey protein isolate considered by many to be the best protein powder for building lean muscle mass?
A: Many consider it to be the best natural bodybuilding supplements because, it not only has the highest amount of pure protein per gram but it is also filled full of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) such as (leucine, isoleucine, valine) and this help’s preserve and build lean muscle tissue between workouts very effectively.
Q: What is the best protein powder for women?
A: For a complete review on the best protein for women read my full review.
Q: Do protein shakes make you fat?
A: Having a shake “here and there” is unlikely to make you gain weight, but drinking them often can result in added fat gain if you don’t offset those extra calories by adding weight training or cardio into your routine. Always remember Muscle Burns 3 Times More Calories Than Fat and we use protein to maintain or build muscle. So if your drinking protein to excess without exercise then you will gain weight. Whey Isolate is the perfect protein for people on a diet because it is basically fat free!! Even the cheapest protein powder with more fat than whey isolate, should have little effect.
Q: How good Is whey protein isolate when it comes to protein digestion?
A: Studies show that this low carb protein powder actually digests much easier and faster than other proteins.
Q: How does Whey Protein increase your energy?
A: It increases our body’s glycogen which is the source of energy used during exercising or heavy activity.
Q: Why is it that chocolate flavors have less protein than vanilla?
A: Unlike vanilla, in order to achieve a rich chocolate taste, cocoa must be added along with the chocolate flavoring (about 1 gram per serving). vanilla only requires vanilla flavoring. This slightly decreases some of the protein in the formula.
Q: Is whey a gluten free protein powder?

Q: If I consume my protein before my workout will that boost my performance?

However, as the protein helps your muscles recover this will lead to better performance through bigger, stronger muscles.
Q: What are the best protein shakes for women?
A: Read my Full Review here.
Q: Is it true that Whey Protein can actually increase your lifespan?
A: Studies have shown us that whey protein has been found to actually increase a person’s life span. Q: Can a High Protein Diet Help me Lose Weight while I Build Muscle?
A: If your consuming a high protein diet you will naturally reduce your appetite, increase your metabolism and even reduce your body’s level of the hunger hormone ghrelin. This will result in a significant decrease in your hunger. This means that protein can make you crave fewer calories automatically and this is the number one reason people lose weight with protein. While your strength training you need to consume about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, this will ensure muscle growth and weight loss take place simultaneously. Whey protein isolate may be the Best Low Carb Protein Powder for you.
Q: Can a High Protein Diet Increase my metabolism?
A: After we eat a meal, our body uses some of the calorie content for the purpose of digesting and metabolizing the food. This is referred to as the “Thermal Effect of Food” (TEF). Some studies have noted that protein has a Thermal Effect of around 30%. While Carbohydrate is around 7% and Fat is about 0-1%. This means that…..if you consume 100 calories of protein then your body burns 30% of those calories off and only stores 70 calories. Studies have shown that people on a ”High Protein” diet, burned an additional 450 calories per day. Clearly by making your body burn more calories, a high protein diet has a significant “metabolic advantage” over more conventional diets that are lower in protein and focused primarily on Carbs and Fat loss.

A: The choice is up to you as far as mixing your protein with milk or water is concerned. However, if your trying to lose weight remember that milk will increase your calories so that may not be a good idea. If you must use milk in order to make it taste good enough for you to drink, use skim milk. This could be the Best Mass Gainer option if your trying to bulk up.
